Say hello to Mango Pay’s new Business Development Manager.
At Mango Pay, we are lucky to have an amazing team of professionals helping us to be the best we can be. This means that when a talented new professional become part of our family, it’s always something to celebrate. Lucy Tighe has recently joined the Mango Pay family as a Business Development Manager. We sat down with Lucy, as she took some time out of her busy schedule, to share her story and talk about her first few weeks in the Mango Pay team.
Hi Lucy. Thank you for taking the time to chat today. When did you join Mango Pay?
Just two weeks ago!
Can you share some of your professional background?
I have spent four years working in the payroll industry. During that time, I worked at two Mango Pay competitors, initially as a salesperson before moved up to a Business Development Manager role. I was working at Brookson, doing predominantly new business, when Tim got in contact to say hello and the rest is history!
What helped you decide that Mango Pay was for you?
I like that Mango Pay is a smaller company. I feel like I can make more of a difference here.
Can you describe a typical day at Mango Pay?
For existing relationships, I spend my time meeting with clients, chatting with consultants and everything from client corporate entertainment to sitting down with Financial Directors for important meetings. For new business, I am activating my network and generating new leads through call, email, and spreading the word on platforms like LinkedIn.
What are your first impressions of Mango Pay as an employer?
They are just really nice people which is refreshing. Everyone is willing to bend over backwards for clients and for the team – it really feels like a family. The other thing that stands out is the tailor-made solutions. It is a very forward-thinking team and they go above and beyond; I like the personal approach.
Thank you for taking the time to speak to us, Lucy. We are sure you are going to achieve amazing things in your new role!
